Very few artists have been able to create such a legacy as Liquid Stranger. Even fewer artists
are able to adapt and evolve as efficiently as he has, all while the musical landscape has shifted from genre to genre. With things always-?changing, Liquid Stranger has used that to his benefit. The majority of 2014 Liquid Stranger released multiple 2-?3 track EP’s titled the Anomaly : Series. This series started at EP 1 and ended at EP 6 spanning the majority of 2014. In writing such an undertaking multiple versions, edits, remixes, VIP’s have been created for multiple performances over the course of the year.
Ushering in the new year on a wave shimmering synthesizers, Sound Control Records, celebrates it’s sophomore signing and is proud to introduce the latest dance duo from The Lone Star State, MNYNMS (Many Names). Comprised of vocalist, Jessica Wahlquist, and producer extraordinaire, J.Childs, MNYNMS capture a unique vision of the future… one where androids and warlocks conjure a harmonious world of synergistic elements.
The duo’s first sonic offering comes in the form of their remix of ‘Imperial’ by New Jersey based synth-lord, Teeel. Dropping the tempo considerably, MNYNMS transport the ecstatic, melancholic dance vibes of the original to a hazy planet filled with strange beings and low-slung arpeggios. The celestial romanticism of Teeel’s vocals translate seamlessly upon MNYMNS’ airy, mystical foundation, complimenting it’s enveloping pads and stabbing leads.

Drezo absolutely crushes it with his new track, IMMUNITY. Fusing elements of dark techno with big room, he ends up with a great late night dance floor killer. Tell the light guy to turn off the lights and only run strobes for this one.
While we’ve already seen some monster remixes of Zhu’s left-field hit “Faded”, we’re adding another into the mix – maybe the best one yet – from our boy Slaptop. Here the Ensemble wonderkid turns the dark number into a smooth-yet-funky danceable jam, infused with what we’re learning is the Slaptop touch. So give it a spin and cop a free download below.
