I’m not sure if anybody could shut down this song. “LIGHTS OUT” is pretty much party guaranteed. It has a certain goofy sound yet still very listenable and professional overall, I guess you have to be expert producers like 1000volts to tap into something like that. Either way, whether it be the high hats in the background, that great add-lib or the massive synths at the drop, I think you’re going to like this one.

LUMBERJVCK and Le Castle Vania could not be better suited to collaborate with each other. Both have built their reputations on taking electronic music into harder and heavier territories. By working together, they seem to have dared each other to go even further down this road.
The ‘You Know My Name’ EP takes a punk rock attitude towards bass music. It delivers emotional melodies, crashing beats, rumbling basslines and tearing synths that leave you ultimately breathless. These tracks are designed to get a crowd hyped and keep them energetic and on their toes.
The sneering vocal and bass sounds of ‘You Know My Name’ are first out of the gate. Then, the funky bending bass and synths of this mid-tempo banger, ‘Numba One’ plants a fist firmly into your solar plexus. ‘Ham Sandwich’ increases the tempo and the funk further, inserting electro vibes as well as a touch of old-school hip-hop swagger into the mix. Finally, LA-based singer/songwriter Mariana Bell delivers a haunting vocal on the anthemic trapstep of closer ‘Carry On’ that lifts the whole release to even greater heights.
Uncompromising, energetic and alarming at times, this release ensures that anyone unfamiliar with Le Castle Vania and LUMBERJVCK before, will certainly KNOW THEIR NAMES after this.
