Following the success of his â€˜Kick The Bass EPâ€™ and â€˜Kick The Bass: Remixes Vol. 1â€™ which prompted Fatboy Slim to proclaim Gosteffects â€œsexy and sleazy, remedy
just like I like itâ€, Gosteffects is back with more floor-shaking remixes for Kick The Bass: Remixes Vol. 2, Beatport exclusive Aug 13th, iTunes + digital outlets August 20th on Gosteffectâ€™s label AFTERLIFE.
The second and final installment of KTB Remixes Vol. 2 delivers nine bass-hooked producers and their thumping sub frequencies. First up from Sex Cultâ€™s Black Matter who dissects â€˜Tear The Club Upâ€™ into a twisted dance floor monster. The original is currently getting major support from Benny Benassi, Laidback Luke and Paul Oakenfold among others.
Also putting their own signature stamp on proceedings is Trouble and Bassâ€™ Deathface, Rule Of Eight, whilst up-and-comers Fat and Ugly, Platinumb, KroyClub, Kai Wachi and Disko Dali all inject distinct flavors and a healthy dose of dirty bass to proceedings. Finally, Italian DJ/producer Mustafuckâ€™s, remix of â€˜Tear The Club Upâ€™, won out over a deluge of quality entries from around the globe in the Legitmix hosted remix contest.
