Chris de Luca is hardly a newcomer to the game. His original project Funkstörung (K7! Records) was responsible for giving quality glitch makeovers to artists such as Björk and the Wu-Tang Clan – and that’s years before someone even thought of calling the style Glitch!

More recently, as one half of project CLP, Mr. De Luca dented plenty a dj playlist with hard hitters dropping on Boysnoize Records and T-Raumschmiere’s Shitkatapult Records.

His latest tune entitled Word Up! is a furious Techno – Glitch anthem that’s driven by a bounce so heavy – it’ll turn any soundsystem to shreds on contact. The package comes with a batch of MASSIVE and cut strictly for-the-dancefloor remixes by Trouble & Bass’ Mikix The Cat, Plastic Little and the duo Super Super.

One of my favorite artists that I’ve blogged about, PUNCHES gets a little remix treatment from a group that I thought was lost for good… Flosstradamus!
Hopefully this moment marks the return of the Floss!

PUNCHES is the Brooklyn based late night disco project of twin brothers Greg and Darin Bresnitz—who can be found tearing it up as DJ duo Finger on the Pulse—and nightlife pioneer Alan Astor, who got crowds up and dancing with his 2005 solo hit “Fantastic Fantasy.” PUNCHES’ synth littered, airy beats are rooted firmly in the soul filled space between disco and electro. “Feeling Right,” the debut single off their Sleepless City EP, features Astor’s warm, classic-sounding vocals and reveals PUNCHES as a club-ready band that can make it through ‘til morning, when you come to in the light of day and reflect on the night you’ve just had. The release of PUNCHES’ Sleepless City EP also marks the inaugural release of Travis Hayden’s (IHEARTCOMIX, Big Beat) newest label, Our Label.

New York City production/DJ duo DESIGNER DRUGS has officially released a stellar batch of remixes for current single “Through The Prism” via Ultra Music featuring reworked versions of the track from Swedish electro house duo Dada Life, Brooklyn producer and Trouble and Bass label head Drop The Lime, Philadelphia production team PLS DNT STP and French producer Tom Deluxx.

“Through the Prism” is the first single off DESIGNER DRUGS’ hotly anticipated studio debut album HARDCORE/SOFTCORE set for release February 22 (Ultra Music). With its visually psychedelic video that features DESIGNER DRUGS’ Michael Vincent Patrick and Theodore Paul Nelson along with the “triple swagger” of vocalist Brooklyn rapper Cerebral Vortex, the original version of “Through The Prism” is a quintessential new electro gem with the Chemical Jump blog calling it “…definitely one of their best originals” .
