This year is coming to an end, but we still have more club bangers from the Top Billin fam! Here’s a smashing collaboration ep from Berlin based DJ Wool of We Collect Enemies (and a long-time friend of Top Billin) and a Brooklyn based vocalist knowns as Vortex (aka Cerebral Vortex), together they’re known as Wool & Vortex. They’ve made a hip-house jam for 2011 that really bangs the club! Here’s the story by DJ Wool how all came together:

“I was in NYC on tour with The Glass (my band) and Cobra Krames was doing a boat party around Manhattan with the Kitsune guys playing, Gildas and the other dude. Damian Harris (Midfield General, founder of Skint) was there amongst lots of other cats I’ve known through the years so it was a good vibe…. The boat looped around the statue of Liberty which is always dope… anyway Vortex and I struck up a conversation and he came to The Glass show the next night at Santo’s… but they fucked up and didn’t see his name on the guest list so we went back out and hustled up the 5 bucks… So 6 months later and Vortex is playing in Berlin for New Year’s eve and I got him over to my studio and we put together Magic Carpet!”
