2nd awesome snowfall of the season in Oklahoma this weekend. That picture was taken 10 minutes ago from my porch. At least its not 14 inches of snow like it was a month ago.

The perfect track came in today to celebrate the ice and snow.

Disco Trash Music takes an already pretty terrible song and only makes it slightly less terrible. Unfortunately it still includes the voice talent of Robert Van Winkle. I’m not talking trash on DTM, but we can all agree about Ice Ice Baby, right?

After yesterday’s Top Billin related post, today we give you their first free remix of 2010.

Time to hit you with the first free Top Billin remix of this year and it’s dancehall affair with bass. Our German friends So Shifty got a new release out on Emynd’s Crossfadedbacon label right now, and they’ve produced some awesome dancehall meets club killers with Ward 21 & Natalie Storm, Tifa & Timberlee of TNT. The ep also comes with remixes from Emynd, Them Jeans and Douster(!). When we got the accapella for ‘Clap’, we got right on it and gave it some club beats, tweaked the vocal and boosted it max bass. Helsinki 78-82 is a project by Top Billin team members Flipper & Koobra, who’ve always been active and always been down to bring something new to the label. While Flipper is part of the Top Billin dj team and has always been the most high-flying of us, so no wonder the the new 12” is some musical bliss that’ll leave you feeling that good good. This is what we call Big City House music, when you’re cruising the streets at night with the top down – no words needed. In a manner Michael Mann would be proud of.

Continuing from the last post, here is some more great disco housey music from Le Principle

Digging through records, we found a single by Machine titled “Grace of God”. We cleaned up it up and ripped it for sampling. As beginning to work on this track we became very excited and had posted to twitter mentioning the sample and our excitement. We were contacted by Paul Anthony who had sampled the same record for a single but had not yet released the EP. We were told to hold off and keep it under locks until the release date but it fell through on us being involved in the release, So Paul has given us permission to now be able to share and distribute our version to the public for free.
