Black Kids, The Spinto Band, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Guillemots

It’s no joke. I love indie bands… for realz. For really realz. I can’t really stand listening to the stuff that I dj. I mean, I like it but man… you can’t listen to that at home. No way. There is a butt load of stuff that I really like and these are four bands. I just like chilling out. That’s what I do best. And there’s nothing like dancing to this music. No Justice / Trash Yourself / Guns’n'Bombs / Toxic Avenger can touch this raw shit. Fo sho.
I know that I don’t do a good job at keeping up at posting but I hope that this helps. Dance music isn’t all in the world. We have to listen to real music at home. It’s not always a party…
Speaking of parties… John and I will be in LA in Oct. Check out our myspace pages to see where we’re playing. If you just want to chill and eat snacks with us send me an email or hit me up on myspace
Oct. 18th - 23rd. word.

I want the Treasure Fingers remix of this track so bad. So so bad. Someone send it to me in secrets? Going to see TF tomorrow in Tulsa probably. He rocked it when we brought him to Robotic.
Trash Yourself has been getting huge amounts of blog attention lately. That’s rad. John, of Trash Yourself, and I will be in the LA area in Oct. Party time!
The Black Ghosts and I just woke up.

I wish they would make full length movies out of Legos. Or TV shows or something. Lego should have a 30 minute ‘cartoon’ but it’s not animated… it’s Legomated!

I don’t have to explain anything… unless you’ve been living under a rock.
Plus Move
Posted by b | Filed under Tunes

Before I went on my mini rant on the new fad of dance music early this morning I was going to make this post. If you read the last post, I still said I enjoy the music. It’s just getting to be too much. This song is pretty epic though. It’s almost if they wrote it to be the perfect intro track for a DJs set. That late night set where everyone is in that perfect state of drunk and no matter what goes on they will have a 87% chance of dancing… you can always make a wrong choice and ruin the dance floor.
Plus Move is actually rocking it here in the states. No french boys here. You may recognize their name from the remixes they’ve done for Justice, Kavinsky, The Glamour and more. Just imaging the lights dropping down and this track starting up then WHAM! Discotheque madness!

Treasure Fingers - or - The story of how I’m tired of trends
Posted by b | Filed under Tunes

No offense but the whole over-distort, loud loud louder justice-style trend is getting old already. I’m really glad groups like Chromeo, Yelle, Calvin Harris, etc are keeping it real. Real cool, that is. Don’t get me wrong, I want to rock when the hard stuff is thrown on but geez, only play one or two at a time. This isn’t a metal-disco dance party.
With that said, I’m glad that Treasure Fingers is doing what he’s doing. I’m glad he’s working with Trash Yourself too. That track is banging. The world doesn’t know what’s coming.
Treasure Fingers has been doing some amazing remixes lately as well as letting loose some straight dance floor killers. They are the kind of tracks that the crowd cheers for even if they aren’t familiar.
You can’t get ‘Cross The Dancefloor’ out of your head - no matter how hard you try.

Muscles has a new video out for Sweaty. It’s like a mini-movie. A mini cute movie.
Muscles also wrote my favorite song of last year. One that I still cannot get enough of. I have nothing else really to say that hasn’t been said before.
