I like music videos right now and this one tops it. About half way through I completely zoned out. What I zoned out to I don’t remember but when I came back .. well, the adventure had never stopped.
So much more could have been done with this video. If it was MY video I probably would have re-inacted some really bad movie scenes and had robots and mario and pong flying everywhere, but that’s just me. It’s a good song, just could have been a better video. I love you Calvin Harris!

Friday! What a wonderful day this is. Got an email from the people releasing the new Justice album. I wish I could tell you that I was hooking you up with some sort of new gem that you could cry with me over but no, I was asked to take down the new D.A.N.C.E. video. Okay, I did that - as you can see from the post below where it used to be. Sorry to all the people that were linking to it on youtube. You’ll lose it too. BUT they say it will be ‘officially’ release next week. Okay? Okay!

Also, I have no idea why the radio is down at the moment. It was fine when I left it this morning. I’m not worrying about it right now.

Here is something to make up for the missing Justice video. A wonderful piece of art I would say. Robots + Vespas + Cows + Space = ???

Taking it back to the old skool with this one… well, if by old I mean a few years ago then yes, old skool. Sometimes i wonder if Soviet was trying to take up where Figurine left off… man I miss Figurine so much.

While I’ve never been a huge fan of Modest Mouse I think this is a cool little thing they’ve got going on. They shot a bunch of footage in front of a green screen and have teamed up with Apple for a video contest. If I knew anything about editing video I’d try it out but it would probably end up dealing with robots and fire and more robots and maybe a disco ball somewhere in there for effect. This is what the Apple contest site says:

“Here’s what we’re looking for. Modest Mouse want a video for their new single “Missed The Boat”. They know there are tons of talented fans and video directors out there who have what it takes to put it together. So that’s where you come in.

Use all of your own footage or use some of the band’s. It’s all up to you; just use your imagination.”

I wonder what you can win… because it doesn’t make that party very clear on the contest page. Also, there’s no entries listed either.

So, I guess the new Nine Inch Nails album came out yesterday. Shows how much i’ve been keeping up with the mainstream music. I have no idea how it sounds but i have been keeping an eye on all the posts on digg/reddit/whateva about this huge viral web ad attack going on with the album. Secret websites, emails, pictures, everything… it’s rather brilliant. And now i see this - the coolest cd artwork EVER.

Yes, it is printed with thermal ink. So awesome. So, you say, what does that mean?? That means that when you open your cd case the cd just looks black… nothing special… BUT, once you put it in your cd player and jam out for a while when you take it out - OMGZ - it’s not black anymore! It’s like those cups you used to get at Pizza Hut in the 80s / early 90s that would change colors when you put cold liquid in them or the toy dolls that you would act like you were feeding it some snacks and ZING! her face got ‘messy’ when hot/cold stuff touched it or the awesome color changing shirts in the 80s that would change with heat. I miss those shirts.

Anyways, I joined a band. We’re playing this saturday in Oklahoma City. PEACE OUT.

Who doesn’t love a good house party?? Tonight we’ll be kicking it in Norman, Oklahoma robot style.
